Care home staffing West Yorkshire

Care staff for Leeds, Bradford and West Yorkshire homes

Carers with dementia experience, senior carers, night staff and nurses for residential and nursing homes in all five districts.

Who we send

Care assistants with dementia experience, senior carers, waking night staff and registered nurses.

How quickly

Same day for an urgent shift when a suitable carer is free locally. A week's notice for block bookings.

How to book

Call or use the form with the home, the unit and the shift times.

Who you can book

Care assistants

Experienced on dementia units, residential and nursing.

Senior carers

To run a shift, give medication where your policy allows and hand over clearly.

Night carers

Waking night staff used to the checks and the quiet pace of a night shift.

Registered nurses

For nursing homes, including nights and bank holidays.

Where we cover

Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield, from Keighley in the Aire valley down to Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Pontefract.

Dementia care is the core of the work here. Most of what we are asked for is residential dementia units, nursing homes with a dementia floor, and the nights that go with them. Wakefield's homes are mostly residential, so requests there are usually for carers rather than nurses.

The hill towns around Halifax and the Colne and Holme valleys are hard to reach without a car early in the morning. If we only have drivers free for a shift, we say so at booking.

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us the unit

Dementia, nursing or general residential. It decides who we offer the shift to.

  2. 2

    We match by journey

Bradford to Wakefield is not a short hop at six in the morning, so the shift goes to someone who can get to you reliably.

  3. 3

    You see the file first

DBS, training and references reach you before the shift starts, and the carer arrives briefed on the unit.

Urgent shifts
Same day, when a carer or nurse with the right experience is free near the home.
Block bookings
One week's notice and we will book the same people for the whole run.

Inspection ready

Care homes in England answer to the Care Quality Commission. Our files cover what an inspector will ask about agency staff.

  • Enhanced DBS with the adults' barred list check, seen before anyone is booked.

  • Right to work checked against original documents or the Home Office online service.

  • References two, one from the most recent care employer.

  • Training moving and handling, safeguarding, infection prevention and basic life support, with certificates in the file you receive.

  • Nurses live NMC registration checked on the register before each placement.

Nights on a dementia unit

Night shifts on a dementia unit are where an agency carer who does not know the job shows most. Residents wake, walk and need reassurance, and checks still have to be done on time. We send night carers who have done this before, and we ask you at booking about anyone on the unit who needs closer support.
