How to book
Ring us or send the home and the shifts through the form.
Staff we supply on Merseyside
Registered nurses
For nursing homes, with nights and weekends where most of the gaps fall.
Care assistants
Day and night cover for residential and dementia care.
Senior carers
To lead shifts and support your nurse in charge.
Mental health care staff
For homes supporting people with mental health conditions.
Where we cover
Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton, St Helens, Knowsley and Halton. Many homes are not in the city at all but along the coast: Southport, Formby and Crosby to the north, West Kirby and Hoylake on the Wirral.
Nursing homes make up a large part of the work here, so a lot of what we are asked for is a nurse rather than a carer, often for the same nights each week.
The tunnel is not a small detail at six in the morning. Staff living in Birkenhead are offered Wirral shifts first, and the same goes for Sefton and Liverpool.

How it works
- 1
Tell us the shift
The home, the dates and whether you need a nurse or a carer. Form or phone.
- 2
We book from your side of the river
We offer the shift to checked staff who can reach you, and send their file before they start.
- 3
Ask for them again
If a person works well for you, name them next time and we will keep them on your rota where we can.
- Urgent shifts
- Same day, when a suitable nurse or carer is free and close enough to get there on time.
- Standing and block bookings
- One week to set up named people for the same nights each week or a run of shifts.
Every placement is checked
The Care Quality Commission inspects care homes in England. These checks are on file for every person we send.
Enhanced DBS with the adults' barred list check, seen before anyone is booked.
Right to work checked against original documents or the Home Office online service.
References two, one from the most recent care employer.
Training moving and handling, safeguarding, infection prevention and basic life support, with certificates in the file you receive.
Nurses live NMC registration checked on the register before each placement.
Coastal nursing homes
Nursing homes in Southport, Formby and along the Wirral coast often need a nurse for the same nights every week. A standing booking with one or two named nurses tends to work better for residents, and for your nurse in charge, than a different name every time.
