Where we cover

West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton and Hove: Chichester, Bognor, Worthing, Horsham, Crawley and Haywards Heath, through Brighton to Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings.

Most homes here look after older people, and many are nursing homes. In Worthing, Chichester and Horsham nurse cover is the call we get most.

Many homes sit in the coastal towns, where the older population is large and so is the competition for carers. We offer shifts to staff who live within reach of the home.

How it works

  1. 1

    One call

Give us the home, the shift and the type of unit.

  2. 2

    Local staff, file first

We offer it to checked staff who live within reach, and their compliance file reaches you before they arrive.

  3. 3

    Regular names

Residents with dementia do better with familiar staff, so for repeat cover we keep the same people on your rota.

Urgent shifts
Same day, when a suitable nurse or carer is free near the home.
Planned cover
One week to set up a month of shifts with the same people.

Checked for inspection

Care homes in England are inspected by the Care Quality Commission. These checks are done for every person we send.

  • Enhanced DBS with the adults' barred list check, seen before anyone is booked.

  • Right to work checked against original documents or the Home Office online service.

  • References two, one from the most recent care employer.

  • Training moving and handling, safeguarding, infection prevention and basic life support, with certificates in the file you receive.

  • Nurses live NMC registration checked on the register before each placement.

Along the coast

If your home is on the coast and you rely on the same few agency staff, tell us. We would rather plan a month of shifts with you than fill them one call at a time, and the people on your rota would rather know where they are working too.

Need a nurse or carer?

Tell us the home and the shifts. We will come back with who is free.
