Where we cover
All of Kent and Medway: Dartford and Gravesend, the Medway towns, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, Canterbury and Whitstable, Thanet, Folkestone and Dover.
Older people's care is the largest part of the work, with many homes for people with learning disabilities alongside it.
The hard part in Kent is geography. A home in Deal or Herne Bay draws on a much smaller pool of carers than one in Maidstone, so we look first for staff who live near you rather than people driving an hour each way.

How it works
- 1
Tell us the shift
The home, the unit and the dates. If you know about leave weeks ahead, tell us then.
- 2
We look locally first
The shift goes to checked staff who live near the home, and you get their file before they arrive.
- 3
Same people on the block
For planned blocks we keep the same people on your rota for the whole run.
- Urgent shifts
- Same day, when someone suitable lives close enough to get there.
- Planned blocks
- One week to book the same people for leave, a vacancy or a new unit.
Ready for inspection
Care homes in England are inspected by the Care Quality Commission. Every person comes with a compliance file you can show an inspector.
Enhanced DBS with the adults' barred list check, seen before anyone is booked.
Right to work checked against original documents or the Home Office online service.
References two, one from the most recent care employer.
Training moving and handling, safeguarding, infection prevention and basic life support, with certificates in the file you receive.
Nurses live NMC registration checked on the register before each placement.
Coastal homes and the summer squeeze
Homes along the Kent coast can lose carers to seasonal work in the summer and to the bigger towns the rest of the year. If you run a home in Thanet, Folkestone or Dover, talk to us before the gaps appear. A standing arrangement for the same two or three people each week is easier on everyone than ringing round on the day.
Gaps on the rota?
Tell us the home and the dates. We will come back with who can cover.
