Where we staff

Wakefield is the centre of it. The big sheds sit on the M62 around Normanton at junctions 30 and 31, and along the M1 between Wakefield and Leeds. Tingley and Lofthouse cover junctions 28 and 29.

In Leeds the work is in Stourton and Cross Green, close to the M1 and the M621. Bradford's sites are mostly off the M606 around Euroway, and there are smaller sites through Kirklees and Calderdale.

People living in east Leeds can reach the M1 sites and Normanton easily. From Bradford or Huddersfield a night shift on the M62 can mean a long drive, so we check how each person will get in before we book them.

How it works

  1. 1

    Give us the numbers

Site, shifts, headcount and roles, plus the PPE and induction your site needs.

  2. 2

    We check, then match

Right to work, ID, references and licences come first. Then we match people to sites they can reach for the shift start.

  3. 3

    Staff on site

Tomorrow for cover. For a new contract, inducted and ready before the first live shift.

Shift cover
Next day. Call before the end of the day and checked staff will be with you tomorrow.
New contracts and peak
One week's notice so every person is checked and inducted before they start.

What we check

Right to work, ID, references and licences, all before anyone is put forward.

  • Right to work checked against original documents or the Home Office online service before the first shift.

  • Identity and references photo ID seen, and work references taken up.

  • Lift truck certificates for forklift and reach roles, a current certificate from a recognised body such as RTITB, AITT, ITSSAR or NPORS, with a copy kept on file.

  • Your site rules safety footwear, hi vis, induction times and any site specific training agreed with you at booking.

Keeping night teams together

Night shifts on the M62 sites lose people fastest, usually because the journey wears them down. We would rather put forward fewer people who live close and stay, than fill every slot on the first night and lose half of them by the second week.
