Care home staffing Greater Manchester
Care home staff across Greater Manchester
Care assistants, senior carers and nurses for residential, nursing and dementia homes from Wigan to Tameside, for one night or a run of weeks.
Who we send
Care assistants, senior carers, RGNs and RMNs, and carers experienced in mental health.
How quickly
Same day for an urgent shift when someone suitable is free nearby. One week for block bookings or a new unit.
How to book
Send the shift through the form or call us. We reply with names, not a sales call.
Who we supply to Greater Manchester homes
Care assistants
Personal care, mealtimes and the steady work of a day or night shift.
Senior carers
Shift leads who can run a floor, hand over properly and give medication where your policy allows trained seniors to.
Registered nurses
RGNs and RMNs for nursing homes, with night nurse cover where we put most effort.
Mental health support
Carers used to challenging behaviour, for homes supporting younger adults with mental health needs.
Where we cover
Every Greater Manchester borough, from Wigan and Bolton in the west to Oldham and Tameside on the edge of the Pennines, and south through Trafford and Stockport.
The homes are mixed. Calls from the city are often nursing homes that cannot open a shift without a nurse. Stockport, Wigan and Rochdale have more residential homes, where a dependable senior on nights matters most. Dementia units and homes for younger adults with mental health needs sit across the county, and we ask which you are at booking.
We book people who live within a sensible journey of the home. A night shift in Leigh goes to someone from Wigan or Leigh, not someone crossing the county on two buses.

How booking works
- 1
Tell us the shift
The home, the unit, the times and anything the person must know before they arrive. Form or phone, whichever is quicker for you.
- 2
We match and send the file
We offer it to checked staff who can reach you, then send each person's compliance file before their first shift.
- 3
They arrive ready
For a block booking the same people come back for the whole run, so residents see familiar faces.
- Urgent shifts
- Same day, when we have someone suitable free near the home. Call rather than email for anything starting today.
- Block bookings and new units
- Give us one week and the team will be booked, checked and briefed before the first shift.
Checked before they walk through your door
Care homes in England are inspected by the Care Quality Commission. Every person we place carries the checks an inspector will look for, and you hold the file.
Enhanced DBS with the adults' barred list check, seen before anyone is booked.
Right to work checked against original documents or the Home Office online service.
References two, one from the most recent care employer.
Training moving and handling, safeguarding, infection prevention and basic life support, with certificates in the file you receive.
Nurses live NMC registration checked on the register before each placement.
Nurse cover at night
A nursing home can be fully staffed with carers and still unable to open a night shift because the nurse has called in sick, so night and weekend nurse cover is where we put most effort in Greater Manchester. If you know a nurse is going on leave, tell us early and we will hold the same person for every night of it.
Short of staff this week?
Tell us the home, the shifts and who you need. We will come back with names.
