Care home staffing North Wales

Care home staff across North Wales, from Wrexham to Anglesey

Care workers, seniors and nurses for adult care homes along the A55 coast, in Wrexham and Flintshire, and in Gwynedd and on Anglesey.

Who we send

Care workers, senior care workers, nurses, and Welsh speakers for homes that need them.

How quickly

Same day for an urgent shift when a registered care worker in your part of the region is free. One week for regular cover.

How to book

Call us or use the form. Tell us if residents use Welsh day to day.

Staff we supply in North Wales

Care workers

Residential and dementia care, day and waking night.

Senior care workers

To lead shifts and support your manager.

Registered nurses

For nursing homes along the coast and in Wrexham.

Welsh speakers

For homes in Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy where we can match them.

Where we cover

Wrexham and Flintshire on the border, the coast from Prestatyn and Rhyl through Colwyn Bay to Llandudno, and Gwynedd and Anglesey in the west.

The coast is where many of the homes are, a popular stretch for retirement. Wrexham's homes tend to be larger. In Gwynedd and on Anglesey, Welsh is the everyday language for many residents, and homes there often want Welsh speaking staff.

We treat Wrexham and Flintshire, the coast, and Gwynedd and Anglesey as three separate pools. Nobody is sent from Wrexham to Holyhead for a night shift.

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us the shift

The home, the shift times and whether the residents need someone who speaks Welsh.

  2. 2

    We book from your pool

A checked care worker from your part of North Wales, with Social Care Wales registration confirmed first.

  3. 3

    Same staff, same home

For repeat cover we keep the same people on your rota where we can.

Urgent shifts
Same day, when a registered care worker nearby is free.
Regular cover
One week to set up the same people for a run of shifts.

Registered and checked for Wales

Care homes in Wales are inspected by Care Inspectorate Wales, and care workers come under Social Care Wales registration.

  • Social Care Wales registration status checked for care workers going into adult care homes. New workers have six months from starting to register, and we tell you where anyone is within that window.

  • Enhanced DBS with the adults' barred list check.

  • Right to work and references two references, one from the last care employer.

  • Training mandatory training certificates on file, with progress against the All Wales Induction Framework for newer workers.

  • Nurses live NMC registration checked before every placement.

Wrexham and Flintshire

Wrexham and Flintshire homes compete with Chester and the Wirral for the same carers, and many staff cross the border each day. For a home on the Welsh side, that makes Social Care Wales registration a real question with agency staff coming from England. We check it before we book, so it is not something you find out at inspection.
