Where we staff

The work here follows the motorways rather than sitting in one place. Trafford Park and Port Salford both sit on the Manchester Ship Canal. Kingsway in Rochdale and the Heywood distribution parks line the M62 between junctions 19 and 21. Logistics North sits off the M61 near Bolton, and freight work clusters around Manchester Airport.

We also staff smaller sheds in Wigan and Leigh, Ashton and the Tameside estates, Oldham and Stockport, where a site may only need a few extra people on a busy week.

Plenty of these shifts start before the first bus. We only put forward people who can reach your site at that hour, whether by car, by a shared lift or on foot from nearby.

How booking works

  1. 1

Tell us the site and shifts

Headcount, shift times, the roles and any kit or induction your site needs. Form or phone.

  2. 2

    We check and match

Right to work, ID, references and lift truck certificates are done before you see a name, and we match people to sites they can reach.

  3. 3

    Staff on site

Checked people arrive for the agreed shift. For a new contract or peak team, everyone is inducted before day one.

Cover for a shift
Next day. Tell us today and we will have checked staff on your site for tomorrow's shift.
New contracts and peak teams
One week's notice, so every person is checked, briefed and inducted before the first shift.

What we check

Every worker is checked before we put them forward. You will not see a name until these are done.

  • Right to work checked against original documents or the Home Office online service before the first shift.

  • Identity and references photo ID seen, and work references taken up.

  • Lift truck certificates for forklift and reach roles, a current certificate from a recognised body such as RTITB, AITT, ITSSAR or NPORS, with a copy kept on file.

  • Your site rules safety footwear, hi vis, induction times and any site specific training agreed with you at booking.

Peak season around the M60

Online retail and parcel sites around the M60 take on temporary staff from October to January, and every agency recruits from the same people at the same time. If you know roughly what your peak will look like, tell us in the summer. That gives us the weeks we need to find and check people before everyone else starts looking.
