Where we staff

Where the M6 meets the M62, with the M56 and M57 close by, sits one of the biggest clusters of distribution work in the north of England. Omega and Birchwood in Warrington, Haydock and Parkside at Newton le Willows, Knowsley Business Park and the Widnes sites near the Mersey Multimodal Gateway all draw on the same workforce.

Continental shifts, four on four off, are common on these parks. We book people who want that pattern, not people who will drop it after a week.

Omega and Haydock are easy by car and harder by bus at night, so we check how each person will get to your site before we book them.

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us the pattern

Site, shift pattern, headcount and roles, with any induction or kit your site needs.

  2. 2

    We check and match

Right to work, ID, references and licences first. Then we match people to the pattern and a journey they can keep up.

  3. 3

    Staff start

Tomorrow for cover. For a new contract, the whole team is checked and inducted before go live.

Shift cover
Next day. Ask today and checked staff start on your site tomorrow.
New contracts and peak
One week's notice for a full team, checked and inducted before day one.

Checked before day one

Right to work, references and licences are checked before we put anyone forward.

  • Right to work checked against original documents or the Home Office online service before the first shift.

  • Identity and references photo ID seen, and work references taken up.

  • Lift truck certificates for forklift and reach roles, a current certificate from a recognised body such as RTITB, AITT, ITSSAR or NPORS, with a copy kept on file.

  • Your site rules safety footwear, hi vis, induction times and any site specific training agreed with you at booking.

Competing for the same people

With this many large sites a few miles apart, a warehouse operative here can usually choose where to work. Pay, the shift pattern and even the walk from the car park all count. If you are losing agency staff to the park next door, tell us what you are offering and we will tell you plainly what it takes to keep people.

Short of hands on site?

Tell us the site, the shift pattern and the headcount.
