Flamingo Workforce
We are recruiting Support Workers for a domiciliary care and supported living provider working across Melksham, Calne, Chippenham, Devizes, Trowbridge, Warminster and Westbury. The work is a mix of home care calls and shifts in supported living, helping adults to stay independent in their own homes. Permanent, 37.5 hours a week, employed directly by the provider.
What the job involves
- Supporting people with daily tasks such as shopping, meals, light housework and medication reminders
- Personal care given with dignity, and companionship that keeps people well
- Planning activities at home and in the community, including days out
- Accurate care records at the end of every visit or shift
Shifts
Domiciliary calls fall between 7am and 10pm. Supported living shifts run 9am to 10pm, with 24 hour shifts of 9.45am to 10pm, a sleep in, then 7am to 10am. Alternate weekends are part of the rota.
What you will need
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience in the care sector
- A flexible, reliable approach and clear communication with the people you support and their families
Pay and benefits
- £12.85 an hour weekday days, £13.50 weekday evenings, up to £13.50 weekend days and up to £14.50 weekend evenings
- Bank holidays at time and a half, sleep ins at £80.19 a night, mileage at 45p a mile
- Holiday top up payments for regular overtime
- Blue Light Card, a £300 referral bonus, CQC inspection bonuses and long service rewards from £100 at five years to £1,000 at twenty
- A full induction and ongoing training
