Flamingo Workforce

Bath to the east, Weston Super Mare down the coast, and Newport, Cwmbran and Cardiff over the Severn. Bristol sits in the middle of all of that, and we recruit support workers who live anywhere across it, matching each person to work by postcode and travel time.

Block bookings

If you like knowing where you will be next week, ask about a block booking. You work regular shifts in the same service, get to know the people you support properly and still keep the flexibility of agency work. Ad hoc shifts are there for anyone who wants to fit work around other things, and permanent roles are available too, including waking nights and sleep ins.

The services

We place support workers in supported living, mental health and learning disability support, complex care, community outreach, domiciliary support and young people’s services across the West of England. Whatever the setting, the aim is the same: help people live as independently as possible, with dignity and choice. That means personal care and practical help, encouragement to take part in daily life, support for positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, help with medication where you are trained, clear confidential records and safeguarding throughout.

What to bring

Relevant care experience and training, with the Care Certificate where applicable, and the right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS check is required, but we can help you get one. We also need your mandatory training in date, including safeguarding, moving and handling and medication where needed, occupational health clearance and references for your recent jobs. A Level 2 or 3 Diploma, PBS, MAPA or PMVA training, experience with autism or complex care and a full UK driving licence all help.

Pay

£13.50 to £18 an hour, paid every week. A consultant who knows the area looks after your DBS, right to work and compliance, and supports you with specialist training and the Care Certificate where you need it.
