Flamingo Workforce
Agency work does not have to mean a different stranger’s house every day and no idea what next month looks like. For support workers in Brighton we offer permanent positions and longer block bookings as well as one off shifts, with a salary on this listing of £23,000 to £28,000 a year.
Young people’s services
One area worth mentioning is work with young people. If you have supported children or young adults before, that experience is valued, and it sits alongside the other services we recruit for: supported living, mental health, learning disability, complex care, community outreach, domiciliary support and waking nights. Tell us which of these you know best and which you would like to try.
The work in plain terms
You support people to live as independently as possible and to make their own choices. That covers personal care, practical help around the home and out, building confidence, positive behaviour support and emotional wellbeing. If you are trained, you may assist with medication. You keep proper, confidential records and you safeguard the people in your care.
Before you start
We ask for relevant care experience and training, the Care Certificate where applicable and the right to work in the UK. You will need an enhanced DBS, and we can help you obtain one, along with mandatory training in date, occupational health clearance and references covering your recent employment. It helps if you also have PBS, MAPA or PMVA training, a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or a full UK driving licence.
Weekly pay, local work
Pay goes out weekly. We match roles by postcode and travel time, so if you are in Worthing, Crawley, Horsham, Haywards Heath or Eastbourne rather than Brighton itself, the options still sit within easy reach. A consultant who knows Sussex keeps your compliance up to date, from DBS to right to work, and you choose the shifts and settings that suit you.
