Why the compliance matters
Every service we supply needs to know the person turning up is checked and trained. So before you start, we confirm your relevant care experience and training, including the Care Certificate where applicable, your right to work in the UK, your enhanced DBS, mandatory training in date (safeguarding, moving and handling and medication administration where required), occupational health clearance for the setting and references covering your recent employment. Once that is done, you can just work.
The people and the places
You would be supporting people to live as independently as they can, with dignity and choice, across supported living, mental health, learning disability, complex care, community outreach, domiciliary support, young people’s services and waking nights. Expect personal care and practical help, encouragement to get involved in daily life, support with behaviour and wellbeing, medication if you are trained, and accurate, confidential notes. Safeguarding is part of every shift.
Rates
£13.50 to £18 an hour, paid weekly. You pick the shifts, settings and locations that suit you, whether that is ad hoc, a block booking or a permanent role, with sleep ins and waking nights available.
Extras that help
Specialist training such as PBS, MAPA or PMVA, a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, a full UK driving licence and experience in autism, mental health or young people’s services all make you easier to place. We match by postcode and travel time, which matters if you are coming in from Leeds, Wakefield or across the hills from Oldham, Rochdale or Tameside.
