Flamingo Workforce
An Enhanced AccessNI Disclosure is one of the first things we will ask you about, and if you have not got one yet, that is no reason to hold back, because we can arrange it. Flamingo Workforce recruits agency support workers in Belfast and across Northern Ireland, and we would rather sort the checks with you than turn away someone good.
Checks for Northern Ireland
Besides AccessNI, we look for six months or more of care experience in the UK, the Care Certificate where it applies, the right to work in the UK, mandatory training in date, covering safeguarding, moving and handling and medication where it is needed, and two references from your recent employment. If you are registered with NISCC, mention it when we talk. Experience in learning disability, autism, mental health or complex care is helpful, as is PBS, MAPA or PMVA training.
The settings
Work is in supported living, residential care, mental health services and community settings. You help people to live as independently as they can, with dignity and choice: personal care and practical help, encouraging them into everyday activities, supporting positive behaviour and wellbeing, assisting with medication where you are trained, keeping clear records and safeguarding.
Beyond the city
We match shifts to your postcode and travel time. That works for people in Belfast itself and for those coming from Lisburn, Antrim, Craigavon, Ballymena or Newry. A licence helps for community and domiciliary bookings, but you do not need to drive to work with us.
Hours and pay
Choose days, nights, waking nights or sleep ins. Rates are £13 to £18 an hour depending on the shift and setting, and pay comes through weekly. Ad hoc shifts, block bookings and longer placements are all on offer in Belfast and across Northern Ireland.
Apply through the site and include your CV. We will be on the phone within one working day to ask where you want to work and to open your compliance file, and as soon as it is complete you can take your first shift.
