Flamingo Workforce
Here is what happens once you send us your CV for social work in Nottingham. Within one working day someone from Flamingo Workforce rings you. We ask where you live, how far you will travel and which teams you want to work in, and then we open your compliance file. When that file is complete, you can take your first shift.
That first conversation
It is mostly about you. Your service area, whether that is children and families, adults, mental health, safeguarding or hospital discharge. Whether you want full time or part time hours, and a short contract of a few weeks or one that runs six months or more. Where home is, whether that is in the city or out in Mansfield, Newark, Grantham, Derby or Loughborough. If you have worked as a senior practitioner or team manager, or have child protection, court, adult safeguarding, AMHP or discharge experience, this is the time to mention it.
Building the file
We will confirm your recognised social work qualification, current Social Work England registration and at least two years of post qualifying experience in a UK statutory setting. We check your right to work in the UK and collect two references about your recent employment. An enhanced DBS on the update service is what we need, and if you do not have one we arrange it. For most community roles you will need a driving licence and a car.
Then the work
Locum and agency contracts with local authority and health and social care teams across Nottinghamshire. You will hold cases, complete assessments and reviews, write plans and reports and attend meetings and hearings as required, working with families, carers and partner agencies and keeping records to statutory and legal standards. Supervision and a team are there on every placement.
The rate
£25 to £40 an hour, depending on the team and level of post, paid weekly.
