Fitting it around your life
Tell us the days and hours you can give, and how far you can travel, and we will look for a booking that matches. We place people by postcode and journey time, which matters if you are coming in from Loughborough, Nuneaton, Rugby, Corby or Nottingham rather than living in the city. Contracts can be a few weeks of cover or run on past six months.
The teams
All of our Leicester roles are locum or agency posts with local authority and health and social care teams across Leicestershire. Depending on your history you could be working in children and families, with adults, in mental health, in safeguarding or on hospital discharge. Reduced hours do not mean a reduced role: you still hold cases, run assessments and reviews, write up plans and reports, and attend the occasional meeting or hearing. Your contact will be with families and carers and the agencies around them, and the records you keep must stand up to statutory and legal scrutiny. Supervision and a supporting team come with each booking.
Can I apply?
You can if you are a qualified social worker on the Social Work England register with two or more years of post qualifying experience in UK statutory services. Add the right to work in the UK, two people who can give references on your recent roles and an enhanced DBS on the update service, which we will arrange for you if you lack one. Community work generally needs a licence and car.
Rate of pay
