What we handle
Our part is the admin that sits between a CV and a first shift. We ring within one working day of your application, talk through where you would like to work, and keep the compliance file moving until it is complete. Then you start. We match by postcode and travel time, so a candidate in Ballymena, Belfast or Lisburn can be pointed at posts that make sense for the commute, and Craigavon or Dungannon are possible for those who travel further.
What you handle
The practice. Placements are with health and social care teams in and around Antrim and the Northern Trust area, covering children and families, adult services, mental health, safeguarding and hospital discharge. You hold a caseload, assess and review, write plans and reports, attend meetings and hearings where they are needed, and work closely with families, carers and partner agencies. Recording must meet statutory and legal standards, and supervision and team support are built into every placement.
What you bring
A recognised social work qualification and current registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council, plus two years or more of post qualifying experience in UK statutory work. You will also need the right to work in the UK and two references that cover your recent employment, and for most community roles a full driving licence and use of a car. Experience in child protection, court work, adult safeguarding, approved mental health work or hospital discharge is helpful, and we have steady demand for senior practitioners and team managers.
Contracts and pay
Anything from a few weeks to six months or beyond, full time or part time. The rate is £25 to £40 an hour depending on the team and the level of the post, and you are paid weekly for the hours worked.
