Job Title: Registered General Nurse (RGN)
Employment Type: Temporary / Bank / Agency
Shifts Available: Days, Nights, and Weekends (Flexible)
Salary: £30-45 per hour
Reports To: Ward Manager / Clinical Lead / Home Manager
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and highly skilled Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will deliver exceptional, person-centered care to patients during day and/or night shifts. Key Responsibilities
Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
Patient Care: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans for patients.
Clinical Duties: Administering medications (oral, IV, and subcutaneous) safely, managing wound care, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing deteriorating patients.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate, clear, and real-time electronic or paper medical records in compliance with NMC standards.
Collaboration: Working seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, healthcare assistants (HCAs), and therapists, to ensure continuity of care.
Patient Advocacy: Acting as a advocate for patients’ rights, dignity, and preferences, while providing emotional support to families.
Safety & Compliance: Adhering strictly to infection control policies, health and safety regulations, and safeguarding protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this shifts, you must possess:
Professional Registration: A valid, unrestricted NMC Pin (Registered General Nurse).
Experience: Minimum of 6–12 months of post-qualification experience in a similar UK healthcare setting (Hospital, Care Home, or Rehabilitation center).
Skills: Strong clinical skills (venepuncture, cannulation, and catheterization are highly desirable).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate bedside manner.
Compliance: Up-to-date Mandatory Training (or willingness to undergo training) and a valid Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the Update Service).
Flexibility: Reliability and adaptability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
