Day to day
You would be giving safe, person centred clinical care: assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating it, administering medication safely under NMC standards, monitoring and recording observations and acting on them, keeping records accurate and confidential, working alongside colleagues, and safeguarding the people in your care at every point.
Essentials and extras
Essentials are a valid NMC registration with an active PIN and current revalidation, the right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check (we can help you obtain it), mandatory training that is in date and right for the role, such as basic or immediate life support, moving and handling, infection prevention and control and safeguarding of adults and children, plus occupational health clearance, matching immunisation status and contactable references. Extras that help: specialist competencies in theatre, intensive care, mental health, paediatrics, IV therapy or venepuncture, and familiarity with electronic record systems.
