Flamingo Workforce
£25 to £40 an hour, paid every week. Where you land in that range depends on the shift you take and the setting it is in, and as a registered nurse working with us around Oxford and Oxfordshire you get a fair amount of say over both.
What moves the rate
We book nurses into hospital wards, care and nursing homes, mental health units and community services. Different settings pay differently, and so do different shifts. Rather than quote you a single number before we know what you are after, we go through it with you on the phone.
How much you commit
Some nurses want a shift here and there. Others would rather have a block booking or a longer placement so their weeks look predictable. All three are on offer. Bookings are matched to where you live by postcode and travel time, whether that is Didcot, Witney, Bicester or Banbury, or over the county line in Aylesbury.
The clinical side
Registered general nurses are what we are asked for most, and there are regular requests for mental health and learning disability nurses as well. It is proper nursing. You assess and plan care, deliver it and evaluate it, give medication within NMC standards, respond when observations change, keep your records accurate and work as part of the wider team.
Paperwork we will check
An active NMC PIN with revalidation up to date, six months or more of recent UK experience, and the right to work in the UK. On top of that, an enhanced DBS on the update service (we can arrange a new one if you need it), current mandatory training in life support, moving and handling, infection prevention and safeguarding, occupational health clearance with the right immunisations, and two references from recent employment.
