What goes in that file
Your NMC PIN has to be active and your revalidation current. We ask for six months or more of recent UK nursing, proof of your right to work, and two referees who can speak about your recent employment. An enhanced DBS registered on the update service saves time; without one, we will arrange the check for you. Bring certificates for mandatory training that has not lapsed (safeguarding, life support, infection prevention, moving and handling) plus occupational health clearance and whatever immunisations the setting calls for.
Where you might work
Shifts sit in Nottingham and around Nottinghamshire, on hospital wards, in care and nursing homes, in mental health units and with community services. On the day
Expect full nursing responsibility: assessment, care planning, delivery and evaluation, medicines given in line with NMC standards, observations watched and acted on, clear records, and steady teamwork with the clinicians around you. Rates
Between £25 and £40 an hour, set by the shift and the setting, and paid weekly. Pick single ad hoc shifts, a block booking or a longer placement, and change your mind later if your circumstances move.
