Flamingo Workforce
Plenty of nurses want more than a shift here and there. Through Flamingo Workforce you can take longer placements in Liverpool and across Merseyside, which means one setting, one team and a rota you can plan your life around.
Why go longer
A longer placement or a block booking gives you time to get to know the patients and the staff, and it gives you predictable weekly pay. If you would rather keep it loose, ad hoc shifts are still there. Some nurses do a bit of both. The rate is £25 to £40 an hour depending on the shift and setting, and it is paid weekly for the hours you work.
The settings
Placements and shifts come from hospital wards, care and nursing homes, mental health units and community services. Adult (RGN) nursing is the biggest share. We also receive regular requests for mental health and learning disability nurses.
From the Wirral to Southport
We look at where you live before we look at the rota. You might be travelling into Liverpool from the Wirral, from St Helens and Warrington, from Southport up the coast and from Chester across the border in Cheshire. Postcode and travel time shape every offer.
Your part of the job
Assessing each patient and planning, delivering and evaluating their care. Giving medication in line with NMC standards. Monitoring observations and acting on any change. Keeping records accurate, and working as part of the wider clinical team.
Getting registered
You will need NMC registration with an active PIN and revalidation in date, six months or more of recent UK nursing experience, and the right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS check on the update service is ideal, though we can arrange one. Mandatory training must be current (life support, moving and handling, infection prevention, safeguarding), and we need occupational health clearance, the right immunisations and two references from recent employment. Apply on the site with your CV, and we will phone within one working day to discuss where you want to work and get your compliance file going. Your first shift follows once it is complete.
