Flamingo Workforce
Six months. That is the minimum amount of recent UK nursing experience we ask for before booking you into agency shifts in Coventry. If you have that, an active NMC PIN and your revalidation in date, you are most of the way there.
The rest of the checklist
You also need the right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check on the update service. No update service subscription? We can arrange a check for you. Mandatory training should be in date, including life support, moving and handling, infection prevention and safeguarding, and we ask for occupational health clearance with immunisations that match the setting. Finally, two references covering your recent employment.
The kind of nursing on offer
Shifts come from hospital wards, care and nursing homes, mental health units and community services across Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Adult nursing is where most of the demand sits, but mental health and learning disability nurses are asked for regularly too. On any shift you will be assessing people and planning, giving and evaluating their care, handling medication to NMC standards, responding to observations, keeping records straight and working with the rest of the clinical team.
Getting there
Coventry is surrounded by places nurses commute from: Nuneaton and Rugby, Warwick and Leamington Spa, and Solihull to the west. We use your postcode and travel time to decide which shifts to show you.
Your hours, your rate
Pay runs from £25 to £40 an hour depending on shift and setting, and it is paid weekly. You choose which shifts and settings to take. Ad hoc work, block bookings and longer placements are all available in Coventry and the wider county.
Next step
Apply on the site and attach your CV. Expect a phone call within one working day, a conversation about where you want to work, and a compliance file opened in your name. Your first shift can be booked once that file is complete.
