From blocks to a permanent role
Not everyone knows where they want to settle. A block booking lets you spend weeks with one team before deciding. If it works, we can talk about a permanent position. If it does not, you move on to the next setting without any awkwardness. Ad hoc shifts remain open to you throughout, and pay is weekly.
The range of settings
Our Greater Manchester nurses work on hospital wards and in theatres, ICU or ITU and emergency care, and also in mental health units, nursing and care homes, the community and district nursing, and general practice. Living in Bolton, Rochdale, Salford, Oldham or Manchester itself is no barrier; we look at your travel time and match accordingly.
What you bring
An active NMC PIN with your revalidation current. The right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS, which we will help you obtain if needed. Mandatory training in date, covering basic or immediate life support, moving and handling, infection control and safeguarding of children and adults. Occupational health sign off and up to date immunisations for the setting, plus contactable references from your recent employment. Desirable, though not essential: theatre or scrub, critical care, mental health or paediatric experience, IV therapy and venepuncture, and familiarity with electronic care records.
The work
Person centred care from start to finish: assessing need, planning, delivering and evaluating. You will administer medication to NMC standards, track and respond to observations, keep records accurate and timely, and safeguard patients while working alongside the wider team.
