Close to home in Greater Manchester
Bury sits between Bolton and Rochdale, with Salford, Oldham and the centre of Manchester all within reach. Some nurses want everything within a short drive. Others are happy to go further for the right ward or the right rate. Both are fine; it just changes what we send you.
What you could be booked into
Hospital wards, theatres and scrub, ICU or ITU and emergency departments on the acute side. Care and nursing homes, mental health units, district and community nursing and practice nursing on the other. Ad hoc shifts, block bookings and permanent roles are all available, and you pick the shifts, settings and locations.
Rates
£25 to £40 an hour, paid weekly.
The essentials
You must be on the NMC register with an active PIN and revalidation in date, with the right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS check is required and we can help you apply. Keep your mandatory training current: life support at basic or immediate level, moving and handling, infection prevention and control, and safeguarding of adults and children. We also need occupational health clearance, immunisations appropriate to where you work, and references for your recent jobs. If you have specialist competencies in theatre, critical care, mental health, paediatrics, IV therapy or venepuncture, or you know your way around electronic records, they will widen your options.
On shift
Your role is to assess, plan, deliver and review care for each person, give medication safely, monitor observations, keep confidential records, work with the rest of the clinical team and keep people safe. Behind you, we sort the DBS, right to work and paperwork, and help with revalidation.
