Flamingo Workforce
Right to work checks, the enhanced DBS, reference requests, occupational health, the training certificates: when you register with Flamingo Workforce for nursing work in Bristol, we do the chasing. You do the nursing.
The file we build for you
Every employer wants to see the same things, and we gather them once. That means your NMC registration with an active PIN and revalidation in date, proof of your right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check (we can help you obtain it if you do not have one), occupational health clearance and immunisation records for the setting, and references covering your recent employment. Mandatory training needs to be in date too, things like basic or immediate life support, moving and handling, infection prevention and control and safeguarding adults and children, and we help you keep it that way.
Salary
The range for this role is £35,000 to £48,000 a year, with pay going out weekly.
Where the work sits
Across the West of England we place nurses on hospital wards and in theatres, critical care and emergency departments, as well as in mental health units, nursing and care homes, district and community teams and GP surgeries. Permanent posts, block bookings and ad hoc shifts are all possible. Nurses who live in Bath, Weston Super Mare or across the bridge in Newport, Cwmbran or Cardiff are matched by travel time, not just distance on a map.
Day to day
You will assess each patient, plan and carry out their care and review how it is going. Medicines are given to NMC standards. Observations are recorded and acted on, notes are kept accurate and private, and safeguarding runs through all of it. If you have theatre, ICU, paediatric, mental health, IV or venepuncture experience, mention it. The same goes for any electronic patient record systems you have used.
Applications go through the site.
