Flamingo Workforce
What does a nursing job pay in Birmingham if you come through an agency rather than applying direct? On this one, £35,000 to £48,000, and it is open to adult nurses on the NMC register who want something settled in or around the city.
A permanent seat, if that is what you want
Flamingo Workforce places nurses in permanent posts as well as shifts and block bookings, and this listing is aimed at the first group. You might have done agency work for a while and want one place, one team and one rota. You might be coming back from a career break and prefer a fixed base. Either way we talk it through first and only put you forward for settings you would actually take.
Where in the city it could be
The posts we handle across the West Midlands sit on hospital wards, in theatres and scrub, in ICU or ITU and in emergency departments, along with care and nursing homes, community and district nursing teams and practice nursing. You might live out in Solihull, Walsall, Dudley or West Bromwich, or come in from Wolverhampton. We match by postcode and travel time so the commute is something you agree to, not something you discover.
The clinical side
The core of it will be familiar: assessing people, planning and giving their care, then checking how it went. You give medicines to NMC standards, record observations and act when they change, keep notes that are accurate and confidential, and safeguard the people on your caseload. Experience in theatre, critical care, mental health, paediatrics, IV therapy or venepuncture helps, as does knowing your way round electronic patient records, but none of those is essential.
Before you are put forward
You need an active NMC PIN with revalidation in date, the right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check, which we can help you get. Bring your mandatory training up to date (life support, moving and handling, infection prevention and control, safeguarding of adults and children), along with occupational health clearance, the immunisations the setting needs and references for your recent jobs. We handle the paperwork and help with revalidation, and pay is weekly.
Apply through the site and one of our consultants who covers Birmingham will be in touch.
