We are a recruitment agency placing healthcare, social care and corporate staff in all four UK nations, and in Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland that includes agency shifts for registered nurses who want to set their own pattern of work.
Keeping your registration in order
The first thing we check is your NMC PIN. It has to be active, and your revalidation must be in date. If revalidation is coming up, it is worth sorting before you apply so there is no gap. We also need six months or more of recent nursing experience in the UK and the right to work here.
Scottish vetting and the rest
You will need PVG scheme membership, and if you are not yet a member we can arrange it. Mandatory training must be current, covering life support, moving and handling, infection prevention and safeguarding. Add occupational health clearance and immunisations suited to the setting, plus two contactable references from your recent employment, and your file is complete.
The shifts
Bookings cover hospital wards, care and nursing homes, mental health units and community services. Adult nurses are most in demand, but mental health and learning disability nurses get regular requests. You pick the shifts and the settings, and we match by postcode and travel time. Aberdeen is a long way from Dundee, Edinburgh or Glasgow, so if you live in one of those cities and are open to travel, say so; otherwise we keep you local.
The nursing
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate each person’s care. Give medication following NMC standards. Watch clinical observations and act on them. Keep accurate records. Work with the wider clinical team.
Pay and applying
Rates are £25 to £40 an hour depending on the shift and setting, paid weekly, with ad hoc shifts, block bookings and longer placements all possible. Apply through the site with your CV.
