Specialty mix
We are recruiting SHO grade doctors, core trainees or doctors with equivalent experience, into general medicine, emergency medicine, surgery and psychiatry. Demand in those areas is constant because acute rotas depend on SHOs. Lisburn is in the South Eastern Trust area and sits right beside Belfast, with Craigavon, Antrim, Ballymena and Newry all within a commute. A day on the ward
Shifts are on medical and surgical wards, assessment units, emergency departments and mental health units. You will take referrals, clerk patients on the acute take, review and manage inpatients, start investigations and treatment plans and do practical procedures within your competence. You will also supervise foundation doctors and join the on call rota on nights and weekends. Records need to stand up to scrutiny, clinical and legal.
Eligibility in brief
Full GMC registration with a licence to practise and the right to work in the UK. Six months or more of recent NHS or HSC hospital experience and experience at core training level or equivalent. ALS certification, or ILS with a willingness to update. Occupational health clearance, immunisations, contactable references and an in date appraisal and revalidation, which we support. We arrange your Enhanced AccessNI Disclosure. Royal College exam progress, ATLS or APLS where relevant, emergency, acute or psychiatric experience and Encompass familiarity all count in your favour.
Terms
Pay is £45 to £55 an hour, paid weekly without timesheet chasing, and your background check is confirmed before each booking. Book ad hoc shifts, block bookings or contracts of a month or more, choosing your sites, shifts and specialties across the five Trusts.
