The file we put together
Every healthcare assistant we place needs the same groundwork. We check your right to work in the UK and take two references that cover your recent employment. We confirm you have six months or more of recent UK experience in healthcare or care work. Your mandatory training (basic life support, moving and handling, infection prevention, safeguarding) has to be in date, and you need occupational health clearance with immunisations to suit the setting. If you have the Care Certificate, great; if not, we will help you get it done.

Shifts cover hospital wards, nursing and residential homes and community services. Because we match by postcode and travel time, we can keep you near home whether that is in the middle of town or out in Watford, Hatfield, Dartford, Epsom or Chertsey. In a city this size, that makes a real difference to how long your day lasts.
On shift
You support nurses and care teams with personal care, help people move around safely, keep on top of nutrition and hydration and take and record observations. Keeping people safe and comfortable is the heart of it, along with notes written up promptly and clearly. Ward, nursing home and one to one work are all available, and you choose days, nights or weekends.
Pay
Expect £13 to £15 an hour depending on the shift and setting, paid weekly. You can work a single ad hoc shift, take a block booking or settle into a longer placement.
