Ward work and beyond
Hospital wards are only part of it. We also book healthcare assistants into nursing and residential homes, community services and one to one work across Leicestershire. Travelling in

Experience and paperwork
To work with us you need six months or more of recent healthcare assistant or care experience in the UK and the right to work in the UK. We take two references covering your recent employment. The Care Certificate is expected, and if you have yet to finish it we will support you. Your training in basic life support, moving and handling, infection prevention and safeguarding has to be in date, and you need occupational health clearance and immunisations that match the setting. Already on the DBS update service with an enhanced check? Good. If not, we will arrange one.
Rates and how to start
Shifts pay £13 to £15 an hour, depending on the setting and the shift, with pay going out weekly. Take one ad hoc shift, a block booking, or a longer placement. Flamingo Workforce works across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, but your bookings stay close to home. Apply on the site with your CV and expect a call within one working day. We will talk about where you want to work and start your compliance file, and your first shift can go in once it is complete.
