Flamingo Workforce

This post is for a female support worker in Malvern who drives. A full UK driving licence is required for the role, not simply preferred, so please hold one before you apply. The pay on file is £25,000.

Getting about around Malvern

Malvern sits under the hills in Worcestershire, and support work here can mean moving between people’s homes and services rather than staying in one building, which is why the licence matters. The work covers supported living, mental health and learning disability support, complex care, community outreach, domiciliary support, young people’s services and waking nights. Flamingo Workforce matches people to work near where they live, judged by postcode and travel time, and can offer anything from one shift up to block bookings and permanent positions.

Your part in someone’s day

You help the person you support live as independently as possible, with dignity and choice. That covers personal care and practical support fitted to what they need, encouraging their independence, confidence and involvement in everyday activities, supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, assisting with medication where you are trained and it is needed, keeping records that are accurate, timely and confidential, and safeguarding them throughout.

What we will check

We need relevant care experience and training, including the Care Certificate where applicable, the right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check (we can help you obtain this), mandatory training kept in date, such as safeguarding, moving and handling and medication administration where required, occupational health clearance in line with the setting, and contactable references for your recent employment. PBS, MAPA or PMVA training, a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and experience with learning disability, autism, mental health, complex care or young people’s services would all strengthen your application.

How we back you up

Pay goes out weekly. You get real say over your shifts, settings and locations, with ad hoc, block booking and permanent options that include waking nights and sleep ins. A consultant who knows the area keeps track of your preferences, helps with specialist training and the Care Certificate, and handles your compliance, DBS, right to work and paperwork for you.

To put yourself forward, apply through our website and we will pick it up from there.
