We are recruiting a Team Leader for a domiciliary care and supported living service based in Melksham, covering Melksham, Calne, Chippenham, Devizes, Trowbridge, Warminster and Westbury. The service supports adults to live in their own homes with their care and wellbeing needs met around the clock. This is a permanent post with the provider, 40 hours a week on various shifts, including alternate weekends and a share of the on call rota.
What the job involves
- Leading and supervising a team of support workers, with regular supervisions
- Covering shifts when the team is short so that care is never missed
- Medication audits and keeping the team safe on dispensing
- Inducting and training new starters
- Taking part in the on call rota, including weekends
What you will need
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle, because the work is spread across West Wiltshire
- Previous care experience and a working knowledge of learning disabilities and related conditions
- Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- Willingness to work alternate weekends and take part in on call
Pay and benefits
- £13.50 an hour weekday days, £14.50 weekday evenings, up to £14.50 weekend days and up to £15.50 weekend evenings
- Bank holidays at time and a half, sleep ins at £80.19 a night
- Business mileage paid at 45p a mile
- Holiday top up payments for regular overtime

- A full induction with face to face training, online modules and shadowing, then real development after that
