The role

As a registered nurse with Flamingo, you will deliver safe clinical care, centred on each person, across a range of settings, including:

  • Adult register nurse (RGN), 
  • Wards, theatres and scrub, ICU or ITU, and A&E
  • Care and nursing homes, community and district nursing, and practice nursing

Day to day, you will:

  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care for each person
  • Administer medication safely and in line with NMC standards
  • Monitor, record and act on clinical observations
  • Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records
  • Work alongside the wider clinical team
  • Safeguard the people in your care at all times

 

What you will need (essential)

  • Valid NMC registration with an active PIN, and revalidation in date
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS check, or PVG scheme membership in Scotland or AccessNI in Northern Ireland. We can help you obtain this.
  • Mandatory training in date and appropriate to the role, for example basic or immediate life support, moving and handling, infection prevention and control, and safeguarding of adults and children
  • Occupational health clearance and immunisation status in line with the setting
  • Contactable references covering your recent employment

 

Desirable

  • Specialist experience or competencies, for example theatre or scrub, ICU or ITU, mental health, paediatrics, IV therapy or venepuncture
  • Familiarity with NHS or care home electronic record systems
